I am currently on vacation in London and will soon be heading to Belgium to explore Christmas markets and eat tons of chocolate🎄🍫.
Nevertheless, Sunday morning means rounding!👨🏽⚕️
As 2024 comes to a close, I wanted to reflect on everything Med School Moose has done this year🌠. This has become an annual tradition that not only shares all the incredible resources we've created😄, but also serves as a nice reminder for me of all the work that's been done, and the work that's still to come👷🏻♂️.
One of the things I was most proud of this year was reaching 15,000 subscribers on the YouTube channel, which was a huge goal of mine✅. There were over 1,700 new subscribers and more than 150,000 views this year alone 🤯! YouTube sent me a bunch of statistics, and I laughed out loud when I saw that this video was my top short of the year 😹.
Over on TikTok🎵, I started leaning a lot more into USMLE Image Quiz videos as well as discussing how to answer some common residency interview questions🤔. The video talking about my "Teach me something" question was an instant hit, and at over 53,000 views it's my second most watched TikTok video of all time!🥈
The popularity of those videos also allowed me to launch Interview Boost and meet with students one-on-one to help them prepare for their residency interviews💼. Getting to speak with some of the people who follow and support Med School Moose was really amazing, and I definitely hope to continue doing this in the future👋.
It looks like other people started noticing Med School Moose too👀. I was featured as a speaker at the TrueLearn 2025 Match Summit and was also able to talk about Med School Moose as a guest on The MedEdge Podcast🎙️.
My hope with doing these speaking events is that more and more people will be able to find Med School Moose and be able to benefit from these resources, whether it's study tips🧠, productivity hacks⚡, or something else entirely!
As always, I am deeply appreciative to everyone who has viewed, commented on, and supported my content. I cannot wait to continue creating and see what's on the horizon for 2025!🌅
